Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of The Nerd in an App™ ("Nerd," "we," "us"). By creating an account, you agree to them.
The Service
Nerd is a pricing, quoting, invoicing, and job-management tool for pressure washing, catering, lawn care, general labor, security, and mechanic businesses.
Your Account
You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for the accuracy of the information you enter, including your own customers' contact information.
Free Trial
New accounts start with a free 14-day trial of Nerd. Free 14-day trial. No card required to start — activate a plan any time to unlock your captured leads.
When your trial ends, your account and all your data stay exactly as they are — nothing is deleted. Pricing new jobs and viewing full details of leads captured through your Instant Quote widget requires an active paid plan. You can activate a plan at any time, before or after your trial ends, from Settings or the Plans & Pricing page.
Subscription & Billing
Nerd is offered on three monthly subscription tiers:
- Nerd — $49/month
- Nerd Pro — $79/month
- Nerd Plus — $129/month
Subscriptions renew automatically each month until canceled. Payments are processed by a third-party payment processor; Nerd does not receive or store your full card number.
Cancellation
You can cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation stops future renewal — unless a refund, legally required remedy, or immediate termination applies, your paid access continues through the billing period you've already paid for; it does not renew after that.
Refunds
Our governing principle: charge fairly, resolve accurately, and never keep money we're not legitimately entitled to. In practice:
- You're not automatically entitled to a refund simply because you change your mind after receiving access to the service.
- Verified duplicate charges, billing errors, unauthorized charges attributable to our systems, or charges collected after an effective cancellation will be corrected or refunded.
- If a material failure on Nerd's end prevents you from receiving the paid service, we'll look at the actual account evidence and provide an appropriate refund or credit when warranted.
- Refund decisions are evidence-based and applied consistently — we don't make arbitrary calls between similarly situated customers.
- We don't use hidden renewal terms, confusing cancellation steps, or other tactics designed to make it hard to get a legitimate refund.
- This policy doesn't protect fraud, abuse, materially false claims, or deliberate chargeback manipulation.
- Nothing here overrides refund, cancellation, or other consumer-protection rights you have under applicable law.
Billing and refund requests go through support@thenerdinanapp.com.
Account Closure
You may close your account at any time from Settings. Your data is retained for 60 days after closure (in case you want to restore it) and then permanently deleted. Closing your account while a paid subscription is active requires canceling that subscription first.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to use Nerd for anything illegal, to attempt to breach the security of the service, or to interfere with other users' access to it.
Who Operates Nerd
The Nerd in an App™ is presently operated by its owner as a separate business venture. It is not currently organized or represented as an LLC, corporation, or subsidiary of any other entity.
Intellectual Property
The Nerd in an App™ and its branding are the property of their owner. Your own business, customer, and job data remains yours.
Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability
Nerd is provided "as is." Pricing calculations are based on the inputs you provide — you're responsible for reviewing quotes and prices before sending them to your customers. To the extent permitted by law, Nerd is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the service.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these terms.
Governing Law
These Terms and any dispute arising out of or relating to The Nerd in an App™ or the use of its services will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Georgia, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable federal law or other law that cannot legally be waived or limited applies.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to limit or waive any consumer protection, statutory right, remedy, or other legal protection that cannot lawfully be waived under applicable law.
Changes to These Terms
If these terms change materially, we'll update the effective date above — an accepted version reflects exactly what you agreed to at that time, not later changes.
